At Chantilly in France (Sunday), it is ‘Arc Trials’ day. It is a nine-race card, six of them Group races, including the Prix Vermeille, the Prix Niel and Prix Foy. The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is due to be run this year on Sunday October 1st.
In the Group 1 Prix du Moulin, Ribchester looks set to be the favourite. Lightning Spear was supplemented for the race on Thursday. There are four British runners in the Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert at 12:50pm, the John Gosden-trained Cracksman (Frankie Dettori) runs in the Prix Niel(1:50pm), there are a number of British-trained runners in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille (3:15pm), and British representation, too, in the Group 1 Qatar Prix du Moulin (3:55pm)
At Dusseldorf in Germany, there is a Group 3 race for 3yo+ (turf, one mile) at 4:25pm
They also race in India at Pune (10:30am) and Hyderabad (10:45am), in Germany at Dusseldorf(12:45pm) and in France at Chantilly (12:50pm); later in shops it’s Philadelphia Park (5:55pm) in the USA and Monterrico (7:30pm) in Guatemala
